Alittle bit about me

Hello, my name is Petula and I am a bespoke cake maker based in seaside town of Herne Bay in Kent.

My working life has mostly centred around the Hotel Industry, HR as a Training & Development Manager for a PR Firm and then Events ... all very people and service based .. then after I took time out to have my kids I found myself ready to take on the next chapter

and Cakes by Petula was born ..

Ive been running my business for over 6 years now and get so much pleasure from meeting people and helping to create something that is totally bespoke .. 

​

Over the years I have had the pleasure of creating many different styles of cakes but as time as gone along, I have found my skill and passion lies in creating bespoke cakes using either finished with sugarpaste or buttercream and working with fresh, dried, or edible flowers, stencilling and abstract details... and creating a stunning showpiece.

Along side this creating delicious Dessert Tables which include Cupcakes, Cookies, Macarons, Bite Sized Cakes etc that can be tailor made to create a stylish centrepiece.

So as you can tell I am definitely a people person and offer a relaxed approach to cake making and above all I absolutely love working with a client to create something that not only tastes amazing but is both individual and stunning.
